Kyle Rankin
My name is Kyle Rankin. I was born in Newmarket, Ontatio, but for most of my life I've lived in Barrie. Ever since I was young, I loved art. I would spend hours watching and rewatching Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back and drawing as many Pokémon as I could. Then again, at that time I also had a habit of escaping from my parents and making friends with squirrels.
By the time I was in highschool, I knew that I was the creative type. I loved taking drama, and was in the school play a few times. I would spend my free time writing stories and drawing the magical creatures I created for them. I also developed a love for creating things digitally as soon as I learned how to use photoshop.
My first time going to college was the Radio Broadcasting program at Fanshawe College. It was a great experience and I'm proud to have succeeded there, but in the end, radio wasn't for me. It didn't feel right - and so, I went back to school for my second try. That's when I discovered Graphic Design.
I am now on the way to graduation from the Graphic Design Production program at Georgian College. I am on the Deans List for all of my completed semesters, and have over 2 years of practical experience in Graphic Design. My program experiences include:
